Hi, I’m Nishma. I’m a disco ball with opinions, a brand strategist who knows big tech from the inside, and the AI speaker and adviser behind Switched ON.

This is a media brand for people in midlife who know AI matters, but do not want another feed of panic, hype or men shouting about productivity at them.

I write about what AI means in real life: work, confidence, creativity, careers, leadership, businesses, brands, culture and the strange new human questions underneath all the tools.

I created Switched ON because too many capable people in midlife are being made to feel late.

They are not late. They are just being badly spoken to.

The point is not to become more machine-like because the machine got competent. The point is to sharpen the human bit: judgement, nerve, taste, trust, originality and voice.

That is where I come in.

I have spent 30 years across media, brand, communications and technology, including 10 years leading brand and reputation work for Google and YouTube in the UK. I know big tech from the inside, brand from the boardroom and reinvention from lived experience.

I am here to make AI make sense, without the panic, patronising nonsense or tech-bro theatre.

The mistakes are mine. The shortcuts are yours. The sequins are non-negotiable.
